There are times when Outlook will have a conflict with an add-in application, such as the WinZip E-Mail Companion, when it is attempting to load. In this situation, Outlook disables the add-in to insure that the conflict will not occur again. Once on Outlook's disabled list the add-in will remain there even if uninstalled and reinstalled. It must be manually removed from the disabled list in order to become functional.

Please try the following:

  1. Start Outlook, click Help, and choose Disabled Items
  2. In the resulting dialog, if WinZip E-Mail Companion is listed, click it to highlight the entry and then click the Enable button.
  3. Click Close, click OK, and try a test message

If you are using a version of Outlook earlier than Outlook 2007 use these steps instead:

  1. Start Outlook, click Help, and choose About Microsoft Outlook
  2. In the resulting dialog click the Disabled Items button.
  3. If WinZip E-Mail Companion is listed, click it to highlight the entry and then click the Enable button.
  4. Click Close, click OK, and try a test message

If you continue to have difficulty, please e-mail Technical Support.
