WinZip 16 is not a free upgrade. Therefore, registration codes from versions of WinZip prior to WinZip 16 cannot be used to register WinZip 16. If WinZip 16 is installed over an older, existing registered copy of WinZip, an evaluation version of WinZip 16 will be the result. Please check both the WinZip version for which you purchased your registration and the version of WinZip that is installed.
In order to obtain a WinZip 16 registration code an upgrade must be purchased. Registered users of previous versions of WinZip are eligible to upgrade at 50% of the WinZip list price.
If you want to continue to use your existing licensed version of WinZip instead of upgrading to WinZip 16, a copy may be downloaded from the Alternative Download Links page. It will be necessary to uninstall WinZip 16 prior to installing the older version. Once the older version has been installed, the registration code for that particular version may be entered. Keep in mind that WinZip 9.0 uses a registration number of 8 digits. WinZip 10 and later uses a registration code of 30 characters.
