How to transfer WinZip to another computer.

Before transferring WinZip from one computer to another you should record or obtain the registration information. This information may be viewed in the About WinZip dialog. To open this from the Classic interface, click Help on the menu bar then click About WinZip at the bottom of this Help dropdown menu.

The first step necessary to transfer WinZip from one computer to another is to remove WinZip from the original computer.

The best way to remove the software from is as follows:

1. Click the Start button on the taskbar
2. Click Control Panel
3. Double click Add or Remove Programs. For Vista or Windows 7, click the Uninstall a program link below Programs
4. Click WinZip, or WinZip E-Mail Companion, or WinZip Self-Extractor, depending on which software package you are removing
5. Click Remove or, in Vista or Windows 7 click Uninstall
