Here are answers to frequently asked questions about downloading, registering and using WinZip, WinZip Courier, and WinZip Self-Extractor, as well as purchase-related information.

  1. Order number (listed in your on-screen order confirmation page and your order confirmation email message)
  2. Full customer name

Downloading WinZip Software

If you have placed your order, and you have problems downloading the software or cannot install your WinZip software using the file you downloaded, please do not reorder. Use the information below to try to download the software again.

If you do not yet have the evaluation version of your WinZip software installed on your system, click a link below to download it. Once the evaluation version is installed, you can use the registration instructions below to convert it to a registered version.

To install the software, just double-click the file you downloaded, and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you need assistance with the operation of the software, or have questions or comments about WinZip, WinZip Courier or WinZip Self-Extractor, please contact WinZip Computing.

Receipts

You can use the upper portion of the order confirmation email that you receive as your receipt. If you no longer have your order confirmation email, you can contact WinZip Computing to obtain a receipt. Please provide your name, the email address and the physical address you used when you placed the order, and the order date.

Refunds

Anyone who has purchased the product within 30 days can get a refund of the purchase price. If you want to arrange a refund, contact WinZip Computing or mail a request to:

Please include your name, order number, and postal address in your request.

To qualify for a refund, please remove the software from any computers on which you've installed it. Also, please destroy the CD, if you received one.

The best way to remove the software from your system is as follows:

  1. Click Start and choose Control Panel
  2. Click Uninstall a program beneath Programs
    Windows XP - Open Add or Remove Programs
  3. Click WinZip, or WinZip Courier, or WinZip Self-Extractor, depending on which software package you are removing
  4. Click Uninstall or, in Windows XP, click Remove

Then send a message to WinZip Computing, stating that you have removed the software from any computers on which you've installed it, and have destroyed the CD
(if applicable), and that you will no longer be using the software.
