WinZip E-Mail Companion was released in September of 2007. There have been no updates created for Companion to take advantage of Windows 7 features. However, no errors have been revealed in our testing of the Companion running on Windows 7.
You should be aware that neither Windows Mail nor Outlook Express is included in Windows 7. To use WinZip E-Mail Companion on Windows 7 you must have an appropriate version of Microsoft Outlook from Microsoft Office installed.
When installing WinZip E-Mail Companion on Windows 7 a dialog from the Program compatibility Assistant will display saying that This program has known compatibility issues.
By clicking the Run program button the Companion will continue to install and will work as expected with Outlook. If you have further questions or you do experience an issue with WinZip E-Mail Companion on Windows 7, please contact Technical Support.
