You can make use of the E-mail tab in Configuration to configure an e-mail account for WinZip to use with its built-in e-mail program. It can be used with all e-mail messages that WinZip might cause to be created or for WinZip Job notifications only (WinZip Pro required). ZipSend, introduced in WinZip 16, can also be configured from this tab.
Zip and E-mail can create a new file that will not be permanently saved to your hard drive and attach it to an e-mail message. From an open Zip file, you can use Attach to E-mail or Convert and Attach to send all or part of the open Zip file by e-mail. When you right click files in a folder you will also find Zip and E-Mail selections available on the WinZip submenu of the context menu.
E-mail notifications for WinZip Jobs, a useful WinZip Pro feature, can be automatically sent to tell whether or not the job completed successfully. This notification can include the Zip file that was created, the log file from the job, or both. This can be very useful for your scheduled jobs.
To open the Configuration dialog and get to the E-mail tab:
- WinZip ribbon interface: Click Options in the Settings tab
- Legacy menus/toolbar: From the Options menu choose Configuration

Before using WinZip's built-in e-mail program, you must configure at least one account. For information regarding:
Before ZipSend can be used, a ZipSend account must be established and configured (as ZipSend is powered by YouSendIt, you can configure ZipSend to use your YouSendIt account).
