Settings Tab - WinZip Ribbon

The Settings tab of the WinZip Ribbon enables you to configure your WinZip settings in a more permanent manner (they don't change even after WinZip has been closed). These settings should be adjusted before you begin the action they control. The features in this tab are listed by section and described below the picture.

Multi-part Zip file

Split: Choose a size on the list or specify a custom size for WinZip to use when you are creating a split Zip file of an open, existing Zip file

.Zip: Select one of the 4 Legacy compression settings for WinZip to use when you create a .zip file

Enhanced Deflate

No compression

.Zipx: Select one of the 4 advanced compression methods (or you can select one of the Legacy methods shown above) for WinZip to use when you create a .zipx file

Configure

ZipSend: Click this to open the ZipSend Options dialog
ZipShare: Click this to configure ZipShare using your Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or Twitter accounts
Accounts: Log in to, log out of, or switch your Cloud service accounts; you can also set your default cloud storage service
WinZip Options: Click this button to open the WinZip Options dialog
Unzip Settings: Use this drop down menu to select up to 4 options to be used when you unzip (these options will remain checked or unchecked even after WinZip has been closed)

Prompt Before Replacing Files
Don't Replace Newer Files with Older Versions
Use Folder Names
Show Unzipped Files (opens a folder window showing the files you unzipped)
