Although there is no charge to download the evaluation version of WinZip, WinZip is not free software. The evaluation version gives you the opportunity to try WinZip before you buy it. Anyone may download the evaluation version of WinZip from the WinZip web site.
If you would like to continue to use WinZip beyond the 45-day evaluation period, you will need to purchase a WinZip license. You may do so by selecting one of the Buy Now links on our home page.

If, after 45 days, you decide not to purchase a WinZip license, then at that point you should remove WinZip from your computer.
The best way to remove WinZip from your system is as follows:
- Open the Control Panel
- Double click Add or Remove Programs
- Click the WinZip entry in the list of programs, then click Remove
If you are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista remove WinZip as follows:
- Open the Control Panel
- Click the Uninstall a program link below Programs
- Click the WinZip entry in the list of programs, then click Uninstall
