You elected to create a Zip file and WinZip® displayed one of the following warnings:

These messages are issued when you press the New button on the toolbar or choose New Archive from the File menu to create an archive but a .zip file (Legacy) or a .zipx file (Best method) with the same name already exists. Since the file already exists, it cannot be created. Press the Yes button to open the existing file.

The latter message is displayed when you need to be sure that it is OK for WinZip to replace the file (or parts of it in the case of a split Zip file) by creating a new Zip file. If you are unsure, elect to open the file so you can see its contexts.

Normally, you should click the Open button or choose Open Archive from the File menu to open an existing archive.
