Special Folders (WinZip Job Wizard)

The Special Folders dialog is displayed when you click Special Folders in the WinZip^® Job Wizard's Specify Zip File panel. These folder names reference commonly accessed folders in the Windows operating system such as My Documents and Program Files.

When a special (or generic) folder name is used rather than a physical folder name, your job will be more portable and will work correctly on other machines or for other users. See Distributing WinZip Jobs and the "Save in folder" section of Specify Zip File for additional information.

Initially, the Special Folders dialog displays a short list of the most commonly used folders. To display the complete list of special folders, check the box labeled Show all.
