WinZip Quick Pick Taskbar Tray Icon

The WinZip Quick Pick taskbar tray icon image\QuikPick.gif gives you instant access to WinZip and recently used WinZip files.

Due to the Jump Lists feature and the ability to pin applications to the taskbar in Windows 7 and later, the WinZip Quick Pick taskbar tray icon will not be installed by default in Windows 7 and later. However, you can still enable it afterwards by following the instructions below to enable or disable the taskbar tray icon.

Enabling and disabling the Quick Pick taskbar tray icon

You will need administrative privileges to enable and disable the Quick Pick taskbar tray icon. To obtain administrative rights, right click on the WinZip shortcut on the Desktop and click Run as administrator. This operation allows you to gain administrative privileges by elevating your user rights via the User Account Control window.

To enable or disable the WinZip Quick Pick taskbar tray icon, check or uncheck the box next to Notification area below Include WinZip in in the Integration tab of the WinZip Options window. To open this, click WinZip Options on the Settings tab of the ribbon.

When Quick Pick is enabled, the WinZip icon will automatically appear in the system taskbar tray whenever you start your system.
